| Swimming Teacher – Level 2 Award – The STA Award in Teaching Swimming is the perfect step to begin your exciting career as a swimming teacher and with no previous experience required, you can get started right away. Regulated by Ofqual and Accredited by SQA Accreditation. Recognised internationally, allowing you to take your swimming teaching career around the world, allowing you to independently teach your very own class of 12 participants from non-swimmers up to improvers (children and adults). Pre-requisites: Be at least 16 years of age. Hold current membership of STA (we do this on day 1). Price includes the L2 Award manual, exam & certification. | 6 days £450 12 students maximum |
| Swimming Teacher – Level 2 Certificate – Progress on your teaching pathway with the STA Certificate in Teaching Swimming. The qualification will expand your expertise to teach competitive strokes, survival and rescue skills, diving, competitive starts and turns; allowing you to teach non-swimmers through to advanced participants. Regulated by Ofqual and Accredited by SQA Accreditation. Pre-requisites: Be at least 16 years of age. Hold current membership of STA . Hold the STA Award in Teaching Swimming qualification or acceptable equivalent (please note the Swim England Level 1 Award in Aquatic Teaching is not an acceptable). | Swimming Teacher – Level 2 Baby & PreSchool – If you would like to be a part of a baby’s first steps into water, and help make their experience the best they can possibly have, then teaching babies and young children is for you! You may have some nervous children (and adults) who are experiencing a swimming pool for the first time, but with lots of singing and encouragement, you will see just how rewarding it is to teach babies, young children and their accompanying adults! Pre-requisites: Be at least 18 years of age. Hold current membership of STA (we do this on day 1). Hold the Safeguarding Children, Young People and Vulnerable Adults online learning certificate or acceptable equivalent. Price includes the L2 Baby & PreSchool manual, exam & certification. | 3 days £375 12 students maximum |
| Swimming Teacher – Junior Lifeguard Academy – A fantastic bolt onto your Award or Certificate qualification allowing you to teach children to not only save their own lives in a water emergency, but also save other’s lives. Pre-requisites: Be at least 16 years of age. Hold current membership of STA . Hold the STA Award in Teaching Swimming qualification or acceptable equivalent. Price includes the Junior Lifeguard Academy manual, exam & certification. | 8hrs £125 12 students maximum |
| Swimming Teacher – Safety Award – If you’re a swimming teacher, aqua aerobic instructor or school teacher and looking for a qualification that will allow you to provide safety cover for swimming sessions, this is the qualification for you! On the course, you’ll learn basic rescue, first aid and resuscitation skills. Holding a rescue/safety award such as this is also recommended for our swimming teaching qualifications, so this may be included with your swimming teaching course (ask your course organiser for more details). Pre-requisites: Be at least 14 years of age. Be able to swim 25 metres. Learners who cannot swim 25 metres must be capable of wading, and effecting a rescue, in a pool with a depth no greater than chest height. Be able to surface dive and recover an object from the deepest part of the pool. Price includes the Safety Award manual, exam & certification. Needs to be renewed every 2yrs. | 8hrs £125 12 students maximum |
